2008 Thank You’s
December 29, 2008Well as 2008 draws to a close, I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the folks that have assisted ISUG throughout the year. Without your help, we wouldn’t be able to do half the things we do to meet the needs of our members. I wont mention names, because you all know who you are!
2009 looks like it will be another fantastic year for ISUG and Sybase. Glad to have you along for the ride!
Happy Holidays
December 24, 2008Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
April Techcast
April 20, 2007Hi there,
Well we just finished the ISUG Techcast for April. Thanks to Sudipto Chowdhuri for a fine presentation on the internals of the ASE 15 Query Processing Engine.
The ISUG Techcasts are a monthly series of events of technical presentations. Next month we’ll be looking at Sybase WorkSpace. If you’d like more information on this, or on the Techcasts in general, goto www.isug.com/techcasts
TeamSybase Meeting
March 13, 2007Well, I just got back home from the annual TeamSybase meeting which I was honoured to have been invited to. This is a fantastic group of individuals that give their time, primarily in the Sybase newsgroups, to help users of the communities, answer questions, etc.
One of the things the team does during it’s meeting is officially recognise new members of the team, and Jerry Siegel is the newest member of TeamSybase for 2007.
It was therefore quite a surprise when I found myself, along with Herman Li and David Tong of Sybase, also being recognised as an honorary member of TeamSybase! I must admit that this was wholly unexpected and I thank Harold Mason and the rest of the team for this!!

Welcome to the ISUG blog
March 11, 2007Hello and welcome to my blog. Here I will give periodic updates on ISUG itself, upcoming events, etc. Feel free to leave comments and suggestions on the kind of information you want to see on these pages!
For those who have never heard of ISUG, we are the International Sybase User Group. Our website is at www.isug.com and is the main interface into the user group.
ISUG’s mission is to support the Sybase user community through information sharing. We publish the ISUG Technical Journal six times a year, which is made available to members who have purchased either the Journal or Complete benefits pacakge. Members with the Complete package also have access to over $7000 worth of free Sybase software! More information on all our benefits can be found on our benefits page.
